Established in 2017, our journey began with humble beginnings, driven by a passion for perfecting a daily ritual many of us take for granted—brewing exceptional coffee. With little more than determination and a love for the craft, we set out to create something truly special.
We, Lucy & Luke, set out to create a space in the city we grew up in—a place that not only enhances but also contributes to its history in our own way. Inspired by the destinations we love across Europe, we’ve designed a timeless space with a focus on natural materials and enduring charm.
still.why?
When we first viewed our current space on Posterngate, it was nothing more than an empty shell, but it radiated calm and peace—and yes, stillness. Just steps away from the hustle and bustle, it felt like a tucked-away haven. Surrounded by the rich heritage of Posterngate, with its big, bright windows flooding the space with natural light, we knew instantly this was the perfect place for us. The name ‘Still’ felt like the perfect reflection of what this space embodied.
The conservatory is one of the building’s standout features, perfectly blending the old with the new. It breathes fresh life into the space, creating an atmosphere that’s both timeless and inviting. In the summer months, we pull back the windows, letting a cool breeze flow through as the sun gently warms your face. It’s a moment that transports you to your favorite European getaway, right here at home.
Natural wine is made with minimal intervention, both in the vineyard and the winery. Crafted from organic or biodynamic grapes, it’s free from additives and relies on natural fermentation, resulting in a wine that’s pure, vibrant, and full of character.
Events
Our outdoor space serves as a natural extension of our shop. The adjacent alley, designed with disabled access in mind, is brought to life by trees and climbing plants. This greenery transforms the concrete into a vibrant pathway leading to sun-drenched seating areas.
Coffee at Home. Our shop proudly features a retail section filled with some of the finest coffees from award-winning roasters and producers—the same exceptional beans we brew in-store. We also offer a subscription service, delivering the best seasonal coffees straight to your door or available for collection. Each month, we handpick standout selections from top roasters across Europe.
VITA. is our in-house florist, curating weekly collections of handpicked seasonal flowers. This recent addition enhances both the shop's offerings and its overall atmosphere, bringing even more beauty and charm to the space.
We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful wedding for some amazing customers and dear friends over the years. Our space offers an intimate setting, filled with natural light and charming, organic features.
